The Pencil maker took the pencil aside, just before putting him into the box, and said to it “there are 5 things you need to know, before I send you out into the world, always remember them and never forget, and you will become the best pencil you can be.”

“One: you will be able to do many great things, only if you allow yourself to be held in someone’s hand.”

“Two: you will experience Painful Sharpening from time to time but you’ll need it to become a better pencil.”

“Three: you will be able to correct any mistake you might make, but you need to be expedient lest you run out of eraser, if you take it for granted by making mistakes intentionally.”

“Four: the most important part of you will always be what’s inside, so guard and use it jealously.”

“Five: on every surface you are used on, you must leave your mark. No matter what the condition is, you must continue to write.”

The Pencil understood and promised to remember all that was said, and went into the box with purpose in its heart.

Do you have a purpose in your heart?
Do you have a purpose for being on earth?
Are you fufilling that purpose?
Or are you going with the wind, following the dictates of this world, living a purposeless life that yields no results.

“Do not love the world or the things in the world. If any one loves the world, love for the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the pride of life, is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world passes away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.”  1 John 2:15-17

Go back to your creator He has a purpose for your life.
Go back to Jesus, He will help you maximize your potential.

Remember His words in John 15:4-5,

“Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.”
