THY KINGDOM COME!

One major issue I have found myself discussing each time I have an opportunity to speak on the subjects of purpose and potential is the matter of THE KINGDOM of God.
This week, I want to share with you some of my thoughts about the Kingdom and why I think an understanding of the Kingdom is important to the discovery, pursuit and fulfillment of your purpose.

To start with, the idea of a Kingdom brings to mind, from a breakdown of the word, the concept of a King and  a Domain. Thus, a Kingdom is about the supreme reign of a monarch over a territory.

The Scriptures establish the fact that God is a King and the Earth and the Heaven are his territories. We also know that at the Creation of Man, God made him a king after His likeness making the earth Man’s territory. God had a purpose for doing this. God has not changed. His purpose remains valid even now. His purpose was that the Earth would be like Heaven marked by a perpetual pursuit of God’s Will and an ambience of His divine presence. This was why He made man: that he may have dominion over the earth.

You and I were created pursuant to a grand plan of the Kingdom to manifest the King’s reign here on earth. We carry God’s DNA so that we can manifest his character here on earth.

This is still God’s global plan for the world  that the earth will be brought under the reign of our King. Jesus had this in mind when he prayed that God’s Kingdom come and that His will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Your purpose is critical to this plan. You have the duty to establish God’s Kingdom everywhere you go and I believe the way to do this is to engage, subdue and transform the corrupted culture of the earth. So, whatever your calling is: a teacher, counsellor, pastor, lawyer, blogger, social media activist etc, I urge you to seek to understand more of God’s Kingdom and how it works and let your motto always be: THY KINGDOM COME!
