4 Keys to Living More Abundantly

The intention of your Creator is that you live abundantly as you maximise your potential. Living fully to die empty involves living abundantly. See what Jesus said as recorded in the Gospel according to Apostle John:

The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they [YOU] may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).  John 10:10 AMP

Jesus came that you may have life in abundance. God’s desire is for you to enjoy life abundantly. Living life abundantly is not a theoretical phenomenon neither is it just a matter of your spiritual life. What God wants for you is that you live life maximally in all areas of your life.  You were created to live life in full. You were not made just to survive. God desires that you thrive!

Thriving is not just about when you have money or when things are fine. God desires you to live life maximally irrespective of your situation. I want to share with you 4 keys to living more abundantly. I am certain yielding yourself to the principles contain therein will help you to maximise your potentials and live fully to die empty.

#1. Think Differently
Living more abundantly starts with paying more attention to your thoughts. What you think about your situation will determine the quality of your life.

Keep vigilant watch over your heart; that’s where life starts. Prov. 4:23

Your life is shaped by your thoughts. So, if you want to live more abundantly, you have to invest in your thoughts. Soren Kierkgaard posits that our life always expresses the result of our dominant thoughts. Scriptures say as a man thinks in his heart, so he is.
You cannot live abundantly no matter how religious you are if you do not take charge of your thoughts. Begin to intentionally meditate and dominate your thoughts with promises and testimonies of God’s goodness. If you think your life is not making sense, check your thoughts.

#2. Confess Positively

Watch your words and hold your tongue; you’ll save yourself a lot of grief. Prov 21:23 MSG

Your thoughts are important; your words are powerful. Living abundantly involves confessing positively God’s word by faith that comes from within. Apostle Paul says, “I believe, and I have spoken.” Faith speaks! As you think differently, you must confess positively. If you can change your words, you can live more abundantly. The quality of your life has a lot to do with the quality and even quantity of your words.

#3. Give Generously

Give freely and become wealthier; be stingy and lose everything. The generous will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed. Prov. 11:24-25

Giving is one big way to experiencing life in abundance. It is in the human nature to be stingy. But we cannot live abundantly, if we will not invest in others. Decide to give generously your time, money, talent, and more importantly, yourself. Jesus said that those that dedicate their lives to Him in a sense, lose it to gain it.

#4. Operate Kingdomly
You were created to have dominion. Dominion is a function of kingship. If you will live abundantly, you must learn to operate in the realm of your identity as a king. God is a King and if you are created in His likeness, then you are a king too. Heaven is God’s territory; the Earth, he has given to Man. Living abundantly involves discovering your unique Kingdom purpose. Your Purpose is your realm of dominion. Once you begin to do purpose, you begin to operate at the level of Heaven’s economy. Abundant living is in finding your unique purpose and living as the ambassador of our King that you are.

Positive thinking without God-instructed actions is not going to take you anywhere. Operating Kingdomly implies that as an ambassador of Heaven on Earth, your heart will be open to instructions by which you can maximise your potentials. Obedience is key to living abundantly!

You were made for so much more than living an ordinary life. You were created to live life abundantly, releasing the fullness of your potentials and living fully to die empty. I am certain that if you will intentionally, begin to think differently, confess positively, give generously and operate “kingdomly”, you will function maximally and realize fully your limitless potentials!
